About This Event

Join the Theater of Public Policy and Mill City Museum in celebrating the Going Out, Coming In exhibit with an evening of interviews, reflection, and improvisation!

The Theater of Public Policy uses improv comedy to connect audiences with big issues and ideas. At live events they interview policy makers, big thinkers, and content experts. Then, their cast of improv comedy actors brings everything discussed to life through unscripted comedy theater.

Joining the discussion this evening are Adien Bettine, Curator of the Tretter Collection in GLBT Studies at the U of M Libraries and Noah Barth, co-creator of the Going Out, Coming In exhibit and public historian.

Noah is an exhibit experience developer at the Science Museum of Minnesota and received a masters degree in Heritage Studies and Public History from the University of Minnesota.  He specializes in histories of LGBTQIA+ people, HIV/AIDS and social movements.

Aiden Bettine is an archivist and public historian who researches and teaches local history pertaining to race, gender, and sexuality in the Midwest. Aiden holds Master’s degrees in both Library and Information Sciences and Critical Ethnic Studies. He co-runs Late Night Copies Press, an independent micro press in Minneapolis that publishes zine and pamphlet formats with an emphasis on local queer and trans history and queer artists.
