For over 155 years the Minnesota Historical Society has worked energetically
and creatively to collect, preserve, and tell the story of Minnesota’s
past, and today, with nearly 19,000 members, the Society is one of
the largest and most respected organizations of its kind in the nation.
Each year we serve more than six million people, both in Minnesota and around the world, through museums, historic sites, educational programs, a major research library, and award-winning publications and web resources. Our programs are designed to engage people of all ages – from schoolchildren to senior citizens – and to represent the experience of the culturally diverse communities that make up Minnesota.
The North Star Circle is essential to the continued quality of the Society’s program. Through the dedicated support of its members, the North Star Circle provides critical annual funding and helps to ensure the success of Society activities such as collections acquisition and conservation, historic preservation, and education.

Andersen Fund of The Saint Paul Foundation, the Society will receive an additional $1,000 for every new North Star Circle member or for any current North Star Circle member who upgrades to a higher level of membership.
