The Internship Program at the Minnesota Historical Society coordinates a Society-wide High School Internsinternship program to engage students from underrepresented communities. Our goal is to develop future leaders and critical thinkers for cultural organizations by exposing students to museum and library environments.

The Internship Program offers a limited number of internships to high school students. Students interested in gaining professional experience in a public museum environment have a unique opportunity to get paid to work directly with museum professionals and participate in structured opportunities to learn more about the Society’s work through the cohort activities. Students will be able to engage with interns from across the institution and develop a network of students and museum professionals.

An amazing opportunity for high school students. Work in a museum. Learn from professionals. Get in on special programs. Meet other interns. And get paid, too! The Minnesota Historical Society's High School Internship Program is a great way to gain professional experience, develop your leadership potential and discover what it's like to work at a cultural organization.
