Volunteer at Mill City Museum

Mill City Museum

Baking Lab Assistant

Assist museum staff or guest bakers by mixing and kneading dough, cleaning up and providing information to visitors. Seeking volunteers with baking experience that enjoy working with people of all ages. A degree of physical endurance is required. Morning shifts available, Tuesday through Friday.

School Programs Greeter

Greet school groups, move them to proper museum areas and provide museum information. Must enjoy working with groups of children in a high-energy environment and be respectful to visitors. A degree of physical endurance is required. Morning shifts available Monday through Friday, during the school year.

Alexander Ramsey House

Cookie Bakers

Can you crack an egg, sift flour and follow a recipe? Volunteers needed to assist staff with baking period appropriate cookies in the Ramsey House's turn of the century wood burning stove. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts on Fridays or Saturdays between September 19 and November 22.

Historic Fort Snelling

Hands on History! Activity Assistant

Assist children with hands on activities as they make paper ox carts, work on canoe construction, tin piercing and leaf pressing. Weekday, weekend, evening and holiday opportunities available Memorial Day through Labor Day.
