Prairie sugar, also known as sorghum, was made 150 years ago as a sweetener for farmers and their families. Visitors can help with the process of turning sorghum into sweet, syrupy molasses. Then explore the sugar beet crop in the fields and discover how sugar beets are processed into granulated sugar. In the new Learning Kitchen, visitors can help make and sample a variety of sweets using many different types of sweeteners.
