Join a discussion about the National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders, known as the Kerner Report, which was released on Feb. 29, 1968, by a presidential commission studying race riots of the 1960s.
This series is built on a book club model where participants examine historical materials from 1968, including letters, articles, and speeches, and join in a facilitated discussion. A new topic will be presented every other month through the run of “The 1968 Exhibit." Participants should preregister to get a reading list, discussion questions, and related materials to review before the program.
This program is made possible by the Legacy Amendment's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the vote of Minnesotans on Nov. 4, 2008.
