Explore a selection of poster imagery and messages that were part of multiple protests in the United States and around the world during 1968, including the hundreds of posters created in May 1968 by Atelier Populaire (the People’s Workshop) in Paris.

This series is built on a book club model where participants examine historical materials from 1968, including letters, articles, and speeches, and join in a facilitated discussion. A new topic will be presented every other month through the run of “The 1968 Exhibit.” Participants should preregister to get a reading list, discussion questions, and related materials to review before the program.

This program is made possible by the Legacy Amendment's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the vote of Minnesotans on Nov. 4, 2008.
