About Twin Cities Native Lacrosse: John (Winnebago/ Ojibwe) and Lonna (Dakota/ Tlingit) Hunter are co-directors of Twin Cities Native Lacrosse, which they founded in 2014 to increase access to the traditional game of thakapsicapi/ baaga'adowewin in and around the Twin Cities Native American community. The lacrosse group consists of coaches and families who gather together to learn and play the traditional wooden-stick game played by the Dakota and Ojibwe Nations here in the region for hundreds of years.
