Explore the natural and historical significance of the Minnesota River, which flows across the southern part of the state. The Dakota call it Mni Sota Wakpa, which means "clear blue water" or "clouded blue water," referencing the river's turbulence.

This program will look at the geology of how the river was formed beginning with glaciers, as well as the long cultural heritage many Indigenous groups have with the river, and the dramatic changes that began after Europeans arrived.
