History Center

ACCESSIBILITY

The entire History Center is accessible to all visitors.

Wheelchairs and Strollers

Standard wheelchairs and strollers are available at the information desk on the first floor.

Parking

There are accessible spaces in the first row of the parking lot. Visitors with a handicapped sticker may park for free at the metered spots beyond the top row of the parking lot (do not enter lot).

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive Listening Devices are available for all programs in the 3M Auditorium.

Telephones

Payphones located on the first floor include an accessible telephone as well as a TTY public telephone.

Restrooms

All public restrooms include accessible facilities and diaper changing stations.

Lighting

For your information, the lighting in the exhibit galleries are dimmed to protect the collections.

Hands-on

Exhibits often have hands-on displays which may be of interest to visitors who are visually impaired.

3M Auditorium

Front and rear row seating is available for visitors using wheelchairs. Please arrive early to reach this area before programs begin. Visitor Services staff are available to assist you.
