SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE COLLECTION
The collection includes bylaws, minutes, correspondence, newsletters, scrapbooks with photographs, and awards of an organization formed in 1935 to "conduct educational work in connection with the insurance business, secure outside speakers for educational purposes, promote friendliness among girls in the insurance business and to designate a meeting place for exchange of opinions and problems." The St. Paul Association was a charter member of the National Association of Insurance Women, which was formed in 1940.
The collection focuses on the evolution of the association, its activities, and membership. Also included are annual reports (1979-1983) of other clubs within the fifth region of the National Association of Insurance Women, as well as procedural manuals of the National Association of Insurance Women.
