                  American Protective Association, various pensions, the one cent postage agitation,
                  the St. Lawrence Seaway, applications for employment, and the election of 1892.
                  Minnesota correspondence relates to Fort Ridgely, the growth of Duluth, real
                  estate, Macalester College (1889), Indian agents, local politics and government,
                  and the Democrat and Farmers' Alliance. </p>
