Microfilm copy of personal name card indexes to final papers volumes A-D (1871-1906) and petition and record volumes G-1 to [K] (1906-1953). The final papers are indexed by volume and page number. The petitions are indexed by volume and page number or by petition number. The cards also include the date of naturalization, which serves as a supplemental indexing aid.

The cards in each index were not checked for completeness or correct alphabetical order prior to microfilming. Researchers who do not find a card for a particular individual in its proper place should search the index further and/or consult the naturalization records, many of which contain indexes.
