                  <p>The cards are arranged in alphabetical order by surname and given name. The
                     Final Papers are indexed by volume and page number. The cards also include the
                     number and date of the certificate of naturalization, which serves as a
                     supplemental indexing aid.</p>
                  <p>The cards were not checked for completeness or correct alphabetical order prior
                     to microfilming. Researchers who do not find a card for a particular individual
                     in its proper place should search the index further and/or consult the
                     naturalization records, many of which contain indexes. </p>
