                  <p>All of the final papers and the petition and record for the years 1907-1929 are
                     indexed by volume and page number. Beginning in 1930 the petition and record
                     are indexed by petition number. The cards also include the date of
                     naturalization or the number and date of the certificate of naturalization,
                     which serve as supplemental indexing aids.</p>
                  <p>The cards were not checked for completeness or correct alphabetical order prior
                     to microfilming. Researchers who do not find a card for a particular individual
                     in its proper place should search the index further and/or consult the
                     naturalization records, many of which contain indexes.</p>
