papers (1891-1906, roll 4); petition and record (final papers, 1906-1974, rolls
4-16); lists of citizenship petitions granted and denied (1929-1974, roll 16);
applications to take oath of allegiance (naturalization by repatriation,
1940-1962, roll 16); applications for transfer of petition for naturalization
(1959-1965); and loose naturalization papers (A-Z, 1896, 1901-1904, roll 16).
The microfiches contain additional loose naturalization papers (A-Z,
1919-1974).

Microfilm copy of a personal name card index to final papers
(vols. A-C, 1891-1906; vols. A-B, minors, 1897-1906) and petition and record
(vols. 1-[25], 1906-1974).
The final papers are indexed by volume and page number. The
petition and record are indexed by volume and page number or by petition
number. The cards also include the date of naturalization or the number and
date of the certificate of naturalization, which serve as supplemental indexing
aids.
The cards were not checked for completeness or correct
alphabetical order prior to microfilming. Researchers who do not find a card
for a particular individual in its proper place should search the index further
and/or consult the naturalization records, many of which contain indexes.
