Personal name index to petition and record (final papers), volumes 1-18 and military petitions, 1907-1979 [petition filing dates]. The index is composed of certificate of naturalization stubs, a record of citizenship certificates issued by the court that function as an index. Each stub gives the person's name and age or date of birth; the petition number; the date of the citizenship order or certificate and the place where it was issued; and the certificate number. The stubs may also include some or all of the following information: the petition and record volume number; the number, date, and place of the declaration of intention (first paper); the person's current residence and alien registration number; and the spouse's and children's names, ages, and residences.
