The road warrant registers record payments for road construction and maintenance.

Record of road plats filed; includes a description of each road and the circumstances of its establishment, with a plat or map of its location. Also, in file number order, gives dates of petitions presented, committees appointed, committee report, and commissioners’ road order issued. Also includes an index to Volumes 1-3 (Volumes 1-2 are not in the State Archives).

105.J.2.9 State and County Road Record 3, 1887-1891. 1 volume.

Contains a plat of each road, name of the road, by whom petitioned for, location of beginning and end, date the petition was filed, date presented to the county board, names of road committee members, date the town supervisors were notified, date the road committee report was filed, date the road was established, texts of petitions (with names of petitioners), order appointing the road committee, text of the committee report, surveyor’s report of plat, final order on county road, and auditor’s notice to town supervisor. Entries are in chronological order, with reference to an “envelope number” that correlates with the file numbers in the road plat book.
