                <p>The records include correspondence and minutes of the committee and its
                    executive committee, and records of the various subcommittees that handled planning
                    and logistical matters. The latter include visitors' and lodging registers and
                    correspondence (encampment attendees were lodged in private homes throughout the
                    city); financial records; printing committee records; and information on parade,
                    reception, and press arrangements and on various special events and
                    activities.</p>
