The Electronic Real Estate Recording Task Force [ERER] was commissioned in 2000 and authorized to establish statewide standards for electronic real estate recording in Minnesota. The task force reported annually to the Minnesota State Legislature. In addition, the task force had the authority to appoint subcommittees. The task force's authority ended in 2008; its work was transferred to the Electronic Real Estate Recording Commission [ERERC]. It is administered by the Legislative Coordinating Commission.
The task force files were kept by Minnesota State Archivist Robert Horton in his role as the task force's secretary. They include both minutes of the task force as a whole and those of several committees: framework, pilot, RFP, technology, and planning. Each task force file may contain minutes, communications relating to the meetings, notes taken during meetings, background information, and reports generated as a result of task force decisions. Also included are the task force's reports to the Legislature and its 2008 final report.
The Electronic Real Estate Recording Commission files include agendas, meeting minutes, and meeting packet materials compiled by Minnesota State Archivist Shawn Rounds in her role as a member of the Commission.
