                that these sets do not represent the state's entire bridge population and that

            <head id="a3">SCOPE AND CONTENTS</head>
            <p>Also, the two sets are not exact duplicates. Some bridges may be represented only by
                photographs, while others are only found in the negatives. Similarly, accompanying
                documentation varies on an item-by-item basis - photographs may or may not be
                marked with information on the back side, while negative envelopes may or may not
                carry handwritten or typed notations and photographic exposure data. Information
                that may be noted includes bridge location, date, and photographer.</p>
            <p>The photographs and negatives are accompanied by two item lists, one arranged by
                bridge number, the other by location. They were generated from a bridge database
                supplied by the Minnesota Transportation Department. Information recorded includes
                county, year of construction, route type, route number, and crossing information.
                Note, however, that not all bridges represented in the photographs and negatives are
                included in the database.</p>
