HISTORICAL NOTE
Established May 13, 1873 as Swift County School District No. 11; later renamed Swift
County Independent School District No. 3. In December 1954, became Joint Independent
Consolidated School District No. 101 (Swift County), No. 92 (Chippewa County), and
No. 116 (Kandiyohi County). On September 6, 1957, it became Independent School
District No. 781 and on December 12, 1957, it was changed to Independent School
District No. 783. In 1978, merged with Independent School District No. 782, Murdock,
and became Independent School District No. 775, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
Included are clerk's books (1913-1926), financial records for the district
(1904-1952), the veterans agriculture fund (1947-1953), and the high school home
economics department (1928-1929), school census (1923), agenda packets for board of
education meetings (1943-1944), scorebook of the high school basketball team
(1928-1929), voter register for the district special election (March 8, 1955), and
