            <head id="a2" altrender="history">HISTORICAL NOTE</head>
            <p>Established May 13, 1873 as Swift County School District No. 11; later renamed Swift
                County Independent School District No. 3. In December 1954, became Joint Independent
                Consolidated School District No. 101 (Swift County), No. 92 (Chippewa County), and
                No. 116 (Kandiyohi County). On September 6, 1957, it became Independent School
                District No. 781 and on December 12, 1957, it was changed to Independent School
                District No. 783. In 1978, merged with Independent School District No. 782, Murdock,
                and became Independent School District No. 775, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg.</p>
