            <p>Some were issued by the U. S. War Department, Division of Militia Affairs, pertaining
                to Minnesota personnel. Also circulars issued by the office (1899-1965, incomplete)
                and one volume containing information on the Indian expedition to the southern
                frontier (September-October 1862), lists of scouts from Wright and Stearns counties
                (July 1863) and independent scouts (October-December 1863), and Adjutant General's
                office contingency spending (June 1882-December 1883).</p>
