		<p>Correspondence and miscellany in alphabetical subject files,
		  photocopies of newspaper clippings that document Olson's political career,
		  constituent correspondence and requests, invitations, and speech files.</p> 
		<p>The subject files pertain to a variety of fiscal and policy matters,
		  particularly state/federal relations, taxation, health and social services,
		  environmental issues and projects especially in Kandiyohi County, and economic
		  development. Several files contain materials dating from 1972-1976, when Olson
		  served in the state senate representing Kandiyohi County (Spicer). There are
		  also some minutes, grant data, and miscellany of the Governor's Rural
		  Development Council (1974-1978).</p>
