Most of this land was concentrated in St. Paul, Hastings, Sauk Rapids, and in the Mendota area. The book includes descriptions of the parcels, names of purchasers, valuations, purchase prices, cash paid, and amounts financed; rents and repairs to property; lists of unsold property; and a listing of receipts and expenses (1866-1875). The book was apparently kept by John S. Prince, who came to St. Paul in 1854 as an agent for the company with responsibility for its lands.
