Manuscripts Collection
The bulk of the files are transcripts of daily tapes that Berman made forming a chronology of Humphrey's campaign between March 31 and November 7, 1968 (transcripts for August 1968 are not included; see related materials note below). The files also include transcripts of interviews with campaign advisors analyzing Humphrey's campaign, pre-convention assessments of the campaign by state, and Berman's correspondence, memorabilia, and newspaper clippings, primarily from 1965 to 1968.

Interviews with campaign advisors involved in Humphrey's 1968 presidential campaign. The advisors assess Humphrey's pre and post-convention campaigns in various states. Also included are a few other campaign related documents, a transcript of a speech written for Berman, and a copy of an unsigned agreement between Berman and Humphrey regarding Berman's access to and usage of information and materials relating to Humphrey.
These materials may have been assembled by Berman for Carl Solberg to review prior to writing his book on Humphrey.
