Searching Manuscripts Finding Guides The Minnesota Historical Society creates inventories and catalog records that help you locate materials in our manuscripts collection. An inventory contains detailed information about an individual collection and the files it contains. Many inventories are now available in electronic form. You can search the contents of an individual inventory by keyword using the search function in your browser. Select the Find (or Find in Page) option under Edit on the menu bar of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. You will soon be able to search the contents of all our electronic inventories by keyword by selecting the SEARCH option at the top of the page. Catalog records contain summary information about individual collections. You can search the catalog records for manuscript collections through the PALS Online Catalog.
