99-10. Cataloging Information (MARC 949 98)

Record here information about the cataloging of the item.

Record the information in the subfields in the order given below. If an item already on the database is being changed for another reason, routinely transfer accession information from the 590 field to the 949 field.

The 949 field is identified by indicator and subfield values defined by MHS. This information appears in the T-length PALS display, but does not appear in the other displays or on printed cards.
