MEDIA ALERT: Great Visuals at MHS July 4 Programs

WHAT: Members of the media are invited to join the general public at July 4th events offered at Minnesota Historical Society sites and museums.

WHEN: Thursday, July 4

VISUALS/EVENTS: The Minnesota History Center is holding a Gettysburg/Vicksburg Anniversary Family Day, July 4, noon to 4 p.m. with unique visuals that include a costumed Ulysses S. Grant history player, members of the First Minnesota costumed re-enactors, an 1860s fashion showcase, plus guests can enjoy an ice cream social.

CanonOther visuals include special Civil War tours and July 4th hours at the Minnesota State Capitol, canon firing at Historic Fort Snelling, dramatic riverfront views at Mill City Museum and spring lambs prancing about at the Oliver H. Kelley Farm.
