MEDIA ALERT: Admission to Minnesota Historical Society Sites and Museums to Increase by $1 as of Dec. 1, 2011
Please help us communicate accurate prices following our recent fee increase.
An announcement was made on Aug. 24, 2011 about a $1.6 million cut in state government funding for annual operations of the Minnesota Historical Society's programs, including its 26 historic sites and museums, library, collections, state archives, educational programs, historic preservation and statewide outreach.
In order to accommodate this cut, fees for the general public will increase by $1 at most historic sites and museums effective Dec. 1, 2011. The last admission increase was in spring of 2008.
Please update any venue databases you may manage and review any stories you may have planned for Dec. 1, 2011 or later. View the new pricing structure here.
Thank you in advance for your help in this difficult transition.
