Art at the Capitol Images

Paintings from the Governor’s Reception Room are part of 57 paintings that underwent conservation work. "The Treaty of Traverse des Sioux" and "Father Hennepin at the Falls of St. Anthony" are now on display on the Capitol's third floor. 

These images may be used for editorial purposes in magazines, newspapers, newsletters and online to illustrate the Minnesota State Capitol historic site.

“Battle of Nashville” by Howard Pyle c. 1906, on display in the Governor's Reception Room. The 5th, 7th, 9th and 10th Minnesota Regiments fought in the December 1864 battle.
