Celebrate Halloween, Harvest Season, Day of the Dead and More This October

As the weather starts to turn cooler and leaves change, MNHS historic sites have a wide range of fall fun events to celebrate the season.

In the mood for a little spookiness? The Minnesota State Capitol’s classic Shadow & Spirits of the Capitol Tour returns Oct. 19, after a hiatus during building restoration, to give visitors a shadowy nighttime tour of this Minnesota landmark.

Or get outside to enjoy the weather before the snow falls at Harvest Days at Oliver Kelley Farm Oct. 19-22. Help bring in the harvest from the fields and garden and learn how the farm prepares itself for the winter.

On Sunday, Oct. 22, head to the Minnesota History Center for Day of the Dead Family Day. View beautiful ofrendas, try traditional games, watch folk dancing and more during this Mexican holiday to honor our ancestors.

For even more October events, visit the MNHS web calendar.
