FREE MILL CITY MUSEUM FIELD TRIPS AVAILABLE
For Qualifying Schools
Through the gracious support of the McKnight Foundation, Mill City Museum offers free admission and subsidized busing for students attending public schools in the Twin Cities metro area that have at least 50% of students enrolled in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch program. Schools must visit the museum in January, February, or March to receive the scholarship. HOME SCHOOL DayS at the HIstory Center
Coming This Spring
If you were leaving your home to make a new home someplace else, what would you bring with you? At the 2007 Spring History Center Home School Days, homeschool families will discover the concept of leaving a homeland to start a new life in a different country. Families will explore the stories and artifacts of immigrants who chose Minnesota as their new home.
Date: Tues., April 3 and Wed., April 4
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (registration begins at 9:30)
Fee: $6 per person for nonmembers, $5 per person for MHS members

Home School Days includes a 50-minute lesson, a museum activity, a take-home project, pre- and post-visit materials, and a visit with history player Harriet Bishop.
