Twin Cities playwrights mine the Society's collections (including this really spectacular tie!) for inspiration. The result is 12 moving, funny, dark and surprising monologues about what it means to be Minnesotan. March 25 at the Minnesota History Center.

The Minnesota Historical Society developed Placeography.org, as a collaborative web site where anyone can create and edit pages devoted to preserving the history of any physical place in Minnesota: department stores, homes, farms, public lands and more. You can add stories, personal memories and pictures.

The Center for History and New Media and the Minnesota Historical Society announce the public beta release of Omeka, the free and open-source software that provides museums, historical societies, libraries and individuals with an easy-to-use platform for publishing collections and creating attractive, standards-based, interoperable online exhibits.
