Assistance sought for public television program
Cathy Wurzer, host of Morning Edition on Minnesota Public Radio, is working on a public television documentary that looks at Highway 61 through the lens of the 1938 WPA Guide to Minnesota. The documentary will talk about the Guide, and then explore what the Guide highlighted in 1938, what is still along Highway 61, and what has been lost. Please contact Cathy if you know of a person, still living, who helped write or research the 1938 WPA Guide or the 1941 Arrowhead Guide. Mabel Ulrich edited the WPA Guide, and the documentary team wants to find her relatives who could talk about her.

Field Note
With patrons often coming to our historical organizations to use research libraries, it is important to have well-organized and comfortable reading rooms, such as the one pictured here at the Martin County Historical Society in Fairmont. MCHS took great care in deciding how to reorganize its space to meet their patrons' needs. Contact Lenny for details.
