Lakewood Cemetery Tour in Lake City
The Lake City Historical Society is sponsoring a cemetery tour at historic Lakewood Cemetery from 1-4 p.m. on Memorial Day, May 28, 2007. Costumed enactors will portray historic figures such as Hannah Doughty and Oliver Francisco.

PastPerfect and Microsoft Vista
PastPerfect tested its cataloging software with the new Microsoft Vista operating system. The results are that users will need PastPerfect version 4.0D1 or higher to work on Vista machines. Those using Virtual Exhibit will need version 4.005 or higher. Hardware requirments are updated on PastPerfect's website.
MALHM Survey Results
Minnesota Alliance of Local History Museums has the preliminary results online of its survey about the Minnesota Historical Society's State Grants-in-Aid program. MALHM will still accept returns if you have not had a chance to reply.
Grant Deadlines
NEH Planning Grant for Museums and Historical Organizations
These projects include interpretive exhibitions (both long-term at single site and traveling to multiple venues), the interpretation of historic sites and houses, and other complementary components, such as publications, public symposia, and digital products. Applications should explain how the exhibition will engage visitors in humanities questions and issues. If possible, proposals should include plans for obtaining early audience evaluations. Applications are September 5, 2007. More information.
