Book signing in St. Paul
Minnesota Landmarks and The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota will sponsor a reception and book signing with photographer Doug Ohman for the new book Cabins of Minnesota published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press. The program is scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in Courtroom 430, Landmark Center, 75 West 5th Street, Saint Paul.
Red Wing Heritage Preservation awards
The Red Wing Heritage Preservation Commission will hold its Annual Heritage Preservation Award of Merit Ceremony at the Anderson Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, 5354 Tower View Drive, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. The State Historic Preservation Office has scheduled a one-day workshop for Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the History Center in St. Paul. Register online and join historic preservation partners to learn about the latest research on cultural resources in the state and other current issues. You’ll also learn the latest about the new management plan for one of Minnesota’s most revered historic places, Pipestone National Monument.
