Museum media award program
AAM Media and Technology Committee recognizes outstanding achievement in museum media in the 19th annual MUSE Awards competition. Apply online on the AAM Media and Technology Website from December 3, 2007, to January 11, 2008. Only $25 per entry.
Small Museum award program
The Small Museum Association, Inc. (SMA) annually presents two awards: The Hunter-Burley Award for individual outstanding contributions to the advancement of public access and professional growth for an individual institution; and, The Small Museum Association Award for individual outstanding contributions to the advancement of funding for, professional growth within, and/or the accessibility of information to the small museum community on a regional or state level. AASLH Awards program
Minnesota garnered 9 of 81 awards given by AASLH in 2007. Contact Ben Leonard to nominate a Minnesota history project from 2007. Nominations are due March 1, 2008. Also, document projects marking the state's sesquicentennial throughout 2008 for the 2009 awards program.

Field Note
Many local historical organizations document local Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting history. Scouting history is also preserved by the North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting in North St. Paul, Minnesota. The preservation of scouting history is an opportunity to collaborate with the North Star Museum.
