MN150 Opens October 13
The MN150 exhibit at the Minnesota History Center explores the people, places and things that helped shape our great state over the last 150 years. Be among the first to see this exhibit at the Opening Celebration, October 11, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul.
Hennepin History Museum presents a Fireside Chat with Curtis Dahlin, author of "Dakota Uprising Victims: Gravestones and Stories" on Saturday October 13, at 2 p.m. Dahlin will detail his new book which locates, identifies, and records those gravesites as a unique and vivid way of telling the story of the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862.

Guidestar released its 2007 compensation report for nonprofit organizations based on 2005 reporting on Internal Revenue Service returns.
Papers on Digital Access to Heritage
International Cultural Heritage Informatics conference papers are posted online and cover a broad range of digital issues related public access to heritage information. The papers will be presented at the upcoming conference in Toronto, October 24-26, 2007.
Peter C. Rollins Documentary Award is currently accepting film and video documentary/nonfiction entries that treat aspects of popular and American culture. Send submission copies with completed entry form to the jury chair; materials must be postmarked by November 22, 2007.

With Veteran's Day one month from tomorrow, many organizations are planning events to honor military service.
