 For the state's sesquicentennial, Minnesota Historical Society Press published "Creating Minnesota: A History from the Inside Out" by Annette Atkins, the first complete state history published in thirty years. "Creating Minnesota" is an innovative approach to telling Minnesota's story.

Field Note
Discussion on the blog this week suggested that organizations might consider forging partnerships to digitize collections to broaden access to history. This past summer volunteers and staff from many local organizations educated themselves concerning digitization at an AASLH workshop, pictured below. And, many organizations have partnered with Minnesota Reflections to share items from their collections.
