Flood Recovery
With as many as 1,500 homes in southeastern Minnesota affected by flooding, the Minnesota Historical Society has updated its emergency response web page with new information about recovery of items damaged in floods.

Institute for Museum and Library Services will give away 2,000 copies of its "Connecting to Collections Bookshelf," an informative, practical resource to help the nation’s museums and libraries sustain heritage. Washington County Historical Society Annual Meeting
Minnesota photographer Doug Ohman will be the featured speaker at the Washington County Historical Society’s fall dinner meeting on Thursday, September 20. The meeting will be held at Boutwells Landing Town Center and starts with a social hour at 5:30 p.m.

American Association for State and Local History announces its newest online course, Board Development. This online course is designed to provide training to staff and board members of history organizations.

Preserving a Sense of Place
Joint Local History and Historic Preservation Conferences will be held in
