Minnesota Humanities Center announced the hosts for the Smithsonian Institution's traveling exhibit "Between Fences" for 2009 and 2010.

Vote for a Minnesota Landmark

Mayowood, owned by the Olmsted County Historical Society, is among three historic places in Minnesota up for a Hampton Hotels Save a Landmark program. The top vote-getter will receive restoration help from Hampton Hotels. Vote through December 5, 2008, to help your colleagues in Rochester.

One of the frequent questions about cemeteries is how to care for or restore furniture, such as metal fences and markers. The place to start is always with the owner, and if your proposed work is authorized, then speak with a qualified conservator.
