Legacy Amendment Planning Meeting  

With passage of the Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment, the Council for Minnesota Archaeology, Minnesota Alliance of Local History Museums, Minnesota Historical Society, and Preservation Alliance of Minnesota will convene two meetings, each at 7 p.m., to begin an initial conversation with the field.

Grant Deadlines


Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act Program awards grants to museums, Indian tribes, and Native Hawaiian organizations. Consultation and documentation proposals are due March 2, 2009. Repatriation proposals are due now through June 30, 2009.

Alderson Internship Grant

Recognizing the demand for students to gain "real world" experience and to help smaller history museums and sites with their staffing needs, AASLH offers the Alderson Internship Grant Program. Applications are due December 15, 2008.

Partners Internship Program

Partners Internship Program provides internship grants to nonprofit agencies in Minnesota, North Dakota and northwestern Wisconsin. Application deadline is December 8 , 2008.
