History Overnight (new post) - Historic house museums sometimes allow the public to stay overnight. Read about benefits and risks in this.
Questions you hope no one will ask (0 comments) - A sign in a supervisor's office read, "There are no stupid questions." Historic places are the same, and we hope that each prompts lots of questions from the very basic to the profound to the hard to answer. |

Historical and Cultural Center of Clay County at the Hjemkomst Center hosts a reception on The St. John's Bible, certainly bound to be historically significant as a work of art for our digital era. The event calls to mind that historical organizations are charged with collecting in the present so that evidence is preserved for the future. It also reminds our community not to overlook religious history and art history. Photo courtesy Historical and Cultural Center of Clay County. |
