Countdown: Three Weeks
Three weeks remain in the biennium, meaning three weeks remain in the Minnesota Historical and Cultural Grants program. The Grants Office strongly encourages all grantees with open grants to submit final report materials as soon as possible--don't procrastinate!

All expenditures must be incurred by June 30, 2011; grant expenses incurred after that date cannot be reimbursed. No extensions can be granted. Questions? Contact the Grants Office.

Esko Historical Museum Tour - Our travels found us in Esko MN this past April. Watch the video podcast which features some of the museum's historic buildings including a grain-drying shed and a smoke sauna. The video was made using an iPhone with a shotgun microphone attachment.

Facebook Findings

The year 535 experienced severe cooling in the Northern Hemisphere, the most severe case in the last 2000 years. Minnesota Local History's 535 fans would probably welcome some cooling after the past few days of record heat!
