Field Note

Laura Ingalls Wilder Hands On History

Legacy Grant Spotlight
Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum & Tourist Center received a Fast Track grant for $3,000 and recently completed "Hands-On History," an exhibit geared toward school-age children. Since the museum relies entirely on earned revenue, they wisely look to popular history media and how that intersects with their mission to preserve Laura Ingalls Wilder's story. Children have an experiential encounter with history.
