Minnesota Historical and Cultural Grants

Final Reports
The Minnesota Historical and Cultural Grants final reporting process is now online. After completion of your grant project, login to the grants portal and scroll down to Reports. Find the Final Narrative line for the grant you are completing, and upload your completed final report form and any additional materials (e.g. photos, receipts, invoices) by clicking the green circle. When you are ready, click on "Submit Now." Questions on how to complete your final report? Contact Melinda Hutchinson, 651-259-3459.

Governor's Civil War Sequicentennial Committee hosts its inaugural Civil War Soldier's Remembrance Event, Saturday April 7, 2012, 11 a.m. The event will be held at Oakland Cemetery, St. Paul, where the only Minnesota soldier killed at the Battle of Shiloh (April 7, 1862), Capt. Nomenclature Survey
AASLH Nomenclature 3.0 Committee is working on a help manual for PastPerfect users converting from Revised Nomenclature to Nomenclature 3.0 and requests your input. Complete a short survey to help tailor the manual to fit the needs of collections staff cataloging with Nomenclature 3.0.

Minitex Survey
Minitex seeks input from library staff regarding interest in subscribing to a Minitex email discussion list dedicated to preserving print, media, and digital resources. Please take a short survey to help focus the discussions.

Minnesota Discovery Center New Hire
Minnesota Discovery Center, Chisholm MN, announces that they hired Christopher Welter as the new archivist at the Minnesota Discovery Center's Iron Range Research Center. He is responsible for providing access to the organization's maps, photographs, personal papers, business and government records. He will also be responsible for maintenance and care of the collections, as well as adding new materials to them.
