Governor's Civil War Sequicentennial Committee hosts its inaugural Civil War Soldier's Remembrance Event, Saturday April 7, 2012, 11 a.m. The event will be held at Oakland Cemetery, St. Paul, where the only Minnesota soldier killed at the Battle of Shiloh (April 7, 1862), Capt. Kandiyohi County Historical Society, Willmar MN, announces that the Guri Endreson Cabin will be open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
