If your organization is planning to apply for a fiscal year 2013 mid/large Minnesota Historical and Cultural Grant, put the following dates on your calendar: - June 1, 2012: MANDATORY pre-applications due
- July 27, 2012: final applications due
- September 6-7, 2012: Historic Resources Advisory Committee meets

The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District completed the fabrication and installation of an exhibit in the reception area of the main Administration Building that chronicles the history of the Sanitary District and the St. Louis River using photographs, text and three-dimensional objects. | |

Volunteer Appreciation
National Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 15-21, 2012. Anoka County Historical Society, Anoka MN, plans to celebrate with a program and refreshments on April 21, 2012, 1-3 p.m. They have over 120 volunteers who have contributed 5,165 hours of service to the historical society. The photo above shows some of the volunteers carving mannequins for the new exhibit opening May 1.
