Spotlight Project: Minnesota Psychiatry Oral History 
Recipient: Minnesota Medical Association Foundation Funding Amount: $2,914 Twelve oral histories, discussing the history of psychiatry in Minnesota, were recorded in the late 1970s on audiotape. To preserve them, they were digitized, transcribed and archived along with two other oral histories taken in 1996. Forty years later twenty-three more interviews of senior MN psychiatric leaders were conducted, digitized and transcribed. These additional oral histories were added to the archives. |

In addition to its own exhibits on lumbering, mining, and many other locally significant stories, SLCHS operates Veterans' Memorial Hall on behalf of the Saint Louis County Commissioners. SLCHS has won national awards for a number of its exhibits. |

May Day Celebration Denmark Township Historical Society, Washington County MN, celebrated May Day at Valley School, District #34, which was built in 1852 in the former village of Point Douglas. Dean Peterson, whose family had owned the school since 1972, officially transferred ownership to DTHS on May 1, 2012. DTHS plans to offer free public events and historical programs at the schoolhouse.
